Citizen Information Line

The Citizens Information Line (CIL) will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily to assist callers.

Storm Debris Pickup (Updated 10/3/2022)

The Town's Storm Debris pickup date will be on Thursday, October 6, 2022.

Town Closures

Town Hall Office will be closed Wednesday, Sep. 28 through Friday, Sep. 30.

Marianne Beck Memorial Library will be closed Wednesday, Sep. 28 through Friday, Sep. 30.

 

Solid Waste Collection (Updated 9/27/2022)

There will be no garbage collection services for residents living within the Town of Howey-in-the-Hills on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Tentatively normal collection services will resume on Monday, 10/03/2022. 

Update for Lake County regarding Solid Waste facilities (current as of 09/27/2022 2:24 pm):

The Central Solid Waste Facility, Loghouse, and Paisley Convenience Center will be open Wednesday, September 28th from 8:00 to 3:00.  All Solid Waste facilities will be closed on Thursday.  The Central Solid Waste Facility will reopen on Friday, September 30th at 8:00 a.m. All Convenience Centers will be open 8-5 on Saturday.

 

Lake County Sandbag Information (Updated 9/27/2022 8:02 am.)
Sandbag locations:

Sandbags are available at five Lake County locations and two municipal locations from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. Residents must bring their own shovels and are limited to 10 bags of sand per household. 

 

Moving forward, two locations will have assistance for residents with disabilities (Minneola and Leesburg).
