Welcome to the Town of Howey-in-the-Hills

Children Walking

Pristine Howey-in-the-Hills is a rural village located on the shoreline of Little Lake Harris.  Our Town is secluded from, yet convenient to, the best of Orlando’s attractions and both of Florida’s coasts.  It is a delightful, quiet, safe and well-kept community that offers family focused living surrounded by a striking panorama of glistening lakes and nestled among the gently rolling hills.

With its predominant 1920’s architecture, Howey-in-the-Hills is a town that thrives on tradition, while also integrating a successful blend of the old and new.  Two country clubs offer exquisite dining and challenging golf and resort amenities.  An adjacent recreation area offers fishing and boating.  With a variety of other outdoor activities, Howey-in-the-Hills is a natural eco-tourism destination.

A relaxed country feel prevails through unparalleled natural beauty as nature is forever preserved in the Griffin Waterfront Park as well as the Sara Maude Mason Nature Preserve.  Here the essence of Howey-in-the-Hills is once again captured in family neighborhoods where children can freely play and neighbors greet one another.  Family focused living is encouraged and sustained.

The future portrait of Howey-in-the-Hills is still a work in progress.  We hope you will join us in sustaining the vision of our Town’s Founder William J. Howey.
