The Town of Howey‑in‑the‑Hills is proud to join cities across Florida in celebrating Florida City Week—a week dedicated to recognizing the vital role municipal government plays in enhancing the quality of life in our communities.
Throughout the week, we’ll be spotlighting the services, history, and people that help make Howey a great place to live through daily educational posts on our website and social media.
Townwide Scavenger Hunt: October 20–26
Running all week long, our Florida City Week Scavenger Hunt invites residents of all ages to explore Howey-in-the-Hills like never before!
Here’s how it works:

Participants will receive a checklist of locations and items throughout Town.

At each location, take a selfie with the featured landmark or item.

Complete the list and show your photos at the Marianne Beck Memorial Library to receive a goodie prize bag—a thank-you for joining in the fun and learning more about your Town!
The hunt kicks off Monday, October 20 and runs through Sunday, October 26.
Prize pickup available at the Library during regular business hours all week.
