Road Closure Notice: N. Citrus Avenue at SR 19/N. Palm Avenue Intersection

Location: Intersection of N. Citrus Avenue and SR 19/N. Palm Avenue

Temporary Road Closure Information

The Town of Howey-in-the-Hills would like to inform residents, businesses, and visitors of a temporary road closure that will affect N. Citrus Avenue at its intersection with SR 19/N. Palm Avenue. This closure is necessary to facilitate construction activity related to the N. Citrus Avenue Road Improvement Project.

The closure is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, and is expected to be completed by Thursday, November 20, 2025, weather permitting.

Please note:

Only the N. Citrus Avenue side of the intersection will be closed to through traffic.
SR 19/N. Palm Avenue will remain open and fully accessible throughout the construction period.
Local detour signage will be clearly posted to guide drivers around the work zone.
Access for emergency vehicles, local residents, and business patrons will be maintained as much as possible.

Detour and Access Instructions

Residents and visitors should adhere to posted detour signs and plan their travel accordingly. Additional traffic may be present along alternate routes, so please allow for extra time when commuting through the area.

Project Purpose

This road closure is part of the ongoing efforts to improve roadway conditions and infrastructure along N. Citrus Avenue, ensuring safer travel for all motorists and pedestrians.
